After announcing plans to relocate earlier this month, Marietta’s the Red Eyed Mule has found its new location, according to a post on Facebook. It seems the restaurant, home to Food Network star Alton Brown’s “Atlanta” burger of choice, may be moving into a former Huddle House on South Marietta Parkway, just west of Kennesaw State University, Tomorrow’s News Today reports.
The new location, approximately three miles away, has yet to be confirmed by the Mule’s owners, Sabra Wessel and Joseph Wood. Wessel and Wood were given until Monday, December 31, to vacate the present location on Church Street Extension. The landlord, who owns a similar restaurant called Come-N-Get It next door, isn’t renewing their lease after nearly a decade in business there.
The Red Eyed Mule could reopen in its new location some time in mid-January for Jake’s Sloppy Slaw burgers, biscuit sandwiches, and breakfast.
Pssst....can you keep a secret?? After many long nights and no sleep my owners have found me a new barn!! And the BEST...
