Philadelphia-based gastropub and craft beer bar City Tap opens in the former Gordon Biersch space on Peachtree Street in Midtown early next year. This is the pub’s seventh outpost, joining locations in Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Nashville.
City Tap offers over 60 beers on draft, including several German lagers and Belgian ales, as well as local beers from breweries like Monday Night Brewing, Orpheus Brewing, Wild Heaven Beer, and New Realm Brewing. Beers are meant to pair with the pub’s food, which ranges from hot wings to fancy, wood-fired pizzas from the pub’s brick oven.
The 10,000-square-foot, two-story restaurant seats just over 100 people in the ground floor dining room, along with mezzanine seating and a bar upstairs, a brick patio out front with a fire pit, and a covered patio on the side of the building, complete with a double-side bar which opens to the dining room.
City Tap-Atlanta will serve lunch, dinner, and brunch on weekends.
