Cocktail bar Lingering Shade Social Club is now open on Irwin Street at the intersection of the Eastside Beltline trail at Irwin Street Market. The bar hopes to target a very specific niche market—the middle-aged crowd—owner and Old Fourth Ward native Lewis Jeffries told Atlanta Magazine last spring.
What age actually defines “middle-aged” is up for debate, but Jefferies promises a “low-key” vibe for those who may be seeking a more subdued evening from that of the area’s often boisterous bar and restaurant scene.
Lingering Shade offers classic cocktails, ten local beers on tap, wine, and a food menu focused on shared plates and snacks such as deviled eggs, onion dip, and boiled peanuts.
In addition to a bright and airy interior with a large, wraparound bar and floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto the Beltline, Lingering Shade’s dog-friendly patio features an outdoor fireplace.
Open Monday - Friday. 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
