Marietta’s Doughnut Dollies is apparently opening a second location on Howell Mill Road in the Collier Hills neighborhood this summer. The doughnut shop owned by chef Anna Gatti has yet to reveal the exact location but told the AJC it should be open by June.
Doughnut Dollies, named for the wartime Red Cross volunteers who delivered coffee and doughnuts to U.S. soldiers, offers both classic and seasonal flavors such as glazed, red velvet, salted caramel, and birthday cake. Gluten free and alphabet letter doughnuts are also available.
This particular portion of Howell Mill Road has seen recent redevelopment, including the newly-constructed Berkshire apartments and its adjacent shopping complex. The complex is home to Howell’s Kitchen & Bar which opened in December. Fellini’s Pizza at the corner of Howell Mill and Collier Road also underwent renovations last summer as have several of the small shopping centers located along the strip between Collier Road and I-75.
