The fourth (first ITP) location of Sage Woodfire Tavern opened last week in Buckhead. The restaurant known for grilled surf and turf dishes, hefty salads, and happy hour is located in the former Morton’s Steakhouse space next door to the Westin Buckhead hotel on Peachtree Road.

The 11,500-square-foot “tavern” is far from the image of a warm and cozy, roadside public house. The 300-seat restaurant includes a 28-seat bar, a large patio, and a second floor designated for private parties and meetings, all designed in Sage’s trademark dark wood and stone motif. Expect live entertainment nightly, too.

Last October, owner Jamie Liakakos opened his third Sage Woodfire outpost on Windy Hill Road, two miles east of The Battery Atlanta and SunTrust Park.

“Atlanta-area residents have been extremely supportive of my family’s restaurants,” Liakakos said in a prepared statement. “We wanted to further invest in this wonderful community by opening two gorgeous new restaurants for residents to enjoy.”

According to Liakakos, these latest openings on Windy Hill Road and in Buckhead will add approximately 300 new restaurant jobs to metro Atlanta.

Valet parking is available at the building’s three-story garage.

Sage Woodfire Tavern also has locations in Alpharetta and at the Perimeter.
