The group behind Las Vegas-based Carson Kitchen, the restaurant from the late celebrity chef Kerry Simon, is apparently eyeing Atlanta for its next location, according to a tip from Eater Las Vegas. While the exact location hasn’t been disclosed, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Eleven Hospitality Group is looking at the north Atlanta area.
The casting of such a wide geographical net in metro Atlanta could mean anything north of the Perimeter.
Eleven partner Cory Harwell says Atlanta is one of a dozen locations the group is considering for Carson Kitchen. They plan to take the restaurant brand nationwide.
Carson Kitchen is known for its burgers such as the butter burger with Boursin or jerk turkey with mango chutney as well as shared plates like deviled eggs, gyro tacos, and smoked trout rillette. The Las Vegas location includes a large rooftop patio with an outdoor bar.
Kerry Simon, dubbed the “Rock & Roll” chef by Rolling Stone magazine in the nineties, died in 2015 at the age of 60 after a two-year battle with multiple system atrophy (MSA). MSA is a rare form of Parkinson’s disease.
