The best waffles in Georgia aren’t at Waffle House
According to the Food Network, the best waffles are not at Atlanta-based Waffle House but at another Atlanta breakfast spot, Folk Art in Inman Park. The network dedicated to all things cooking shows and celebrity chefs named Folk Art’s waffles like the peanut butter-banana, chocolate s’mores, and a play on chicken and waffles topped with peach compote as the best in Georgia. Taqueria del Sol chef/owner Eddie Hernandez’s new cookbook
Fans of Taqueria del Sol will soon be able to cook some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes at home when Hernandez’s new cookbook “Turnip Greens & Tortillas” is released on April 10. The book includes recipes for Taqueria del Sol’s jalapeño cheese dip, its oft-ordered fried chicken tacos, and the barbecue pork butt-based Memphis tacos—to name just three of the 125 recipes listed. The book can be pre-ordered via Amazon. [Official]

New margarita bar on the Beltline
A new Beltline margarita bar named Guac y Margys will open this summer at the Residences at Studioplex near the Eastside trail’s entrance at Irwin Street, What Now Atlanta first reported. The bar will offer ten margaritas, guacamole, salsa, and queso with chips, according to further reporting by the AJC. The partners have begun a Kickstarter to help with funding Gauc’s “custom 20-foot bar.” [WNA/AJC]
