Now Open, Chamblee’s The Alden Is Offering Rack of Lamb

Now open for dinner and Sunday brunch at Parkview on Peachtree

The Alden from Atlanta native chef Jared Hucks is now open for dinner and Sunday brunch at Parkview on Peachtree in Chamblee. The restaurant’s name means “old friend” in Old English. It also happens to be the chef’s middle name.

The 2300-square-foot restaurant features 74 seats in the dining room, a bar, an 11-seat chef’s counter overlooking the kitchen, and a patio. Hucks’s brother, glass blower Rob Stern, was commissioned to create The Alden’s art and lighting.

Dishes on the dinner menu include a soft coddled farm egg with bok choy, Maine sea scallops, and Florida grouper. For the super hungry, there’s always the rack of lamb. A tasting menu with optional wine pairings is available upon request for diners seated at the chef’s counter. The brunch menu features heartier comfort fare like turkey and sweet potato hash and a grilled steak and eggs benedict.

Cocktails, beer, and a wine list highlighting natural and independent producers rounds out the beverages offered at The Alden.

The Alden is open Tuesday - Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
