Mountain Biscuits is moving to Dallas, Georgia
The popular biscuit spot located at 1718 Old 41 Highway in north Marietta near Kennesaw Mountain is moving nearly 16 miles away to Dallas, Georgia, Tomorrow’s News Today reports. The new shop will be located in a former Huddle House at 210 Merchants Square. An update to the original story indicates breakfast and lunch restaurant The Marietta Local could move into the Old 41 space. Mountain Biscuits will close the north Marietta location on April 28 and plans to reopen in Dallas sometime this June. [ToNT]
Hodgepodge goes Hollywood
The East Atlanta Village coffee shop apparently had a brief part in last night’s episode of the NBC’s crime dramedy “Good Girls”. The coffeehouse posted on Instagram, “Tonight at 10 on NBC you may just see Hodgepodge made over into a “hipster coffee shop” that serves hashbrown omelettes.” A commenter on the post said they’d be into the hashbrown omelettes. Hodgepodge replied, “we’ll see what we can do.” followed by the laughing-until-crying emoji. Maybe this could be a new menu item at Hodgepodge’s Summerhill outpost when it opens next year. [Instagram]
