Hotel Clermont sign for sale
Own a piece of the old Hotel Clermont. One of the hotel’s supposed signs was for sale for $400 on CraigsList. Now on eBay, the ante has been upped to nearly $3000. And, it’s likely to keep going up. However, it seems the “Clermont Hotel” sign listed is likely not part of the original hotel. This, according to a rather spirited reddit conversation regarding the sign’s authenticity. One reddit user states the original “Motor Hotel” sign did not include the additional “Clermont Hotel” sign above it. That was added later. A second reddit thread is now discussing the bidding war on eBay. Interested parties may want to enlist an antiques appraiser before purchasing. The fully-renovated Hotel Clermont plans to open in May along with a new restaurant called Tiny Lou’s. [Reddit]

Real Housewife of Atlanta opening second restaurant
RHOA Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd are opening a second location of Castleberry Hill Southern food spot Old Lady Gang, according to Tomorrow’s New Today. The new location is apparently in the Camp Creek Marketplace on Camp Creek Parkway in East Point. It will replace Boneheads Grill. Boneheads doesn’t seem to be fairing well in Atlanta these days. The Atlantic Station spot is slated to close next month and will be replaced by Atlanta-based Vietnamese restaurant chain Pho 24. [ToNT]

Little’s Food Store painting stolen then returned
A nimble-fingered thief helped themselves to a small painting off the wall of Little’s Food Store in Cabbagetown last weekend. The 3x3 picture of the Little’s storefront was hand-painted by a friend of the owners to commemorate the store’s opening. Thankfully the sentimental piece of artwork was returned (no questions asked) a day later. [Facebook]
