A new rooftop bar and restaurant called Rise & Revelry is headed to Buckhead from Savi Provisions market owner Paul Nair. It will open on the roof of the newest Savi Provisions location on Pharr Road, What Now Atlanta reports. No opening date has been released, but sources close to the restaurant say it could open by late May or early June.
The restaurant is separate from Savi Provisions with an entrance via an elevator or stairs accessed through a shared hallway.
Rise & Revelry plans to serve salads and sandwiches as well as bowls and snacks like roasted chickpeas, fried artichoke hearts, and barley risotto. Entrees such as a rotisserie half chicken and a pan roasted pork chop will also be on the menu.
Beer and wine along with cocktails are planned for the beverage menu. A “bellini menu” with bellinis like a spiced rum coco option made with spiced rum, Godiva chocolate liqueur, and sparkling wine are among the mixed drink choices.
It’s unclear at this time if Rise & Revelry is sharing a kitchen with Savi Provisions downstairs or who the chef will be for the restaurant.
The rooftop includes a retractable awning which Nair hopes will make the restaurant an all-season, elevated dining option for Buckhead. Seating is apparently a mix of tables with umbrellas, sofas and teak chairs, and barstools.
Savi Provisions announced the intended opening of the new rooftop bar and restaurant at their Pharr Road location last November.
In a Facebook post, they asked commenters to help name the restaurant. Suggestions ranged from the botanical like Savin (a juniper varietal) to the simple such as the Porch to clever puns like Savi Fare. No word on who won the $1000 prize for the best name as none of the suggestions offered in the post were used.
Savi Provisions-Pharr Road with its expanded grocery, coffee drive-thru, and prepared foods section along with the rooftop restaurant is a new “prototype” for the Atlanta-based market. Savi Provisions has locations in Brookhaven, Inman Park, Midtown, and on Roswell Road in Buckhead. A sixth outpost is planned for downtown Decatur on Ponce de Leon Avenue.
Eater Atlanta has reached out for more details including an opening date.
Open Sunday - Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Nair also owns Indian restaurant Jai Ho on Dutch Valley Road in the Morningside neighborhood adjacent to Piedmont Park.
