Chef Matt Weinstein of recently shuttered One Midtown Kitchen has landed a new job at another Concentrics Restaurant as the executive chef of Tap gastropub in Midtown. One Midtown Kitchen closed in March after 16 years.
Weinstein spoke to Eater Atlanta in February following the restaurant’s closure announcement regarding his future plans saying it would likely be with another Concentrics restaurant.
The chef isn’t overhauling Tap’s menu just yet; although, the press release indicated Weinstein’s plans could include significant menu changes in the future. Given Weinstein’s culinary background, which began at now defunct fine dining restaurant Woodfire Grill, diners at Tap could be in for a real treat. Weinstein eventually became Woodfire’s executive chef before moving to One Midtown in 2015.
However, Concentrics said in the statement, Weinstein doesn’t plan to do away with menu favorites like the burgers.
In addition to Tap, Concentrics Restaurants also owns Parish, Two Urban Licks, Allora, Room at Twelve, and Molly B’s at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
