Greater Good BBQ opening a Westside spot
A fourth location of The Greater Good BBQ is opening later this year at 1021 Howell Mill Road next door to La Fonda (just up from Northside Tavern,) Tomorrow’s News Today reports. The spot was most recently home to Vintage Custard and, before that, Ben’s Brown Bag. Greater Good has three other locations in East Lake, Tucker, and Buckhead. [ToNT]
Barbecue on Marietta Square
Hawg & Ale Smokehouse plans to open on Tuesday, April 10 in the former Chantico Burrito Cantina space, the AJC reports. The menu will offer the standard ‘cue fare like pulled pork sandwiches, smoked turkey, brisket, and smoked Saint Louis ribs. New microbrewery in East Atlanta
Sabbath Brewing is slated to open in the former East Atlanta Barbell Club by Halloween, according to What Now Atlanta. Few details (like the name of the owner, who is choosing to remain anonymous) have been released. However, further reporting by Curbed Atlanta revealed Sabbath may also include a coffee and espresso bar. Upcoming East Atlanta restaurant popping up at the Spindle
Banshee, the upcoming East Atlanta restaurant, is popping up this Thursday, April 12 at cycling shop the Spindle in the Old Fourth Ward. The restaurant from four longtime Ford Fry and Wrecking Bar employees wants to give Atlanta a sneak peek of Banshee’s food and drinks. The menu includes strawberry salad with charred asparagus, grilled rare beef with ginger glazed carrots, chicken cacciatore with braised artichokes, crispy porchetta potatoes, and a coffee cream cannoli for dessert.
