The Toco Hills outpost of the Local Pizzaiolo opens Tuesday, May 8. The Neapolitan pizza restaurant is located in the same building as Toco Giant package store and is adjacent to Spiller Park coffee in the Toco Hills Shopping Center on North Druid Hills Road. The Local Pizzaiolo is owned by Rome native and Neapolitan pizza master Giulio Adriani.

To celebrate its grand opening, the Local Pizzaiolo-Toco Hills is offering free pizza on May 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a donation in any amount to No Kid Hungry and the Giving Kitchen (non-profit providing crisis grants to restaurant industry workers). All donations will be split between the two charities.

The Local Pizzaiolo menu includes traditional Neapolitan pizzas like the classic margherita as well as three gluten free options such as the puttanesca with crushed tomatoes, Kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, and capers. Adriani has also created a selection of signature pizzas for the restaurant like the spicy Dante’s Kiss with crushed tomatoes, soppressata, and jalapenos. Beer and wine along with four draft cocktails (including a negroni and an espresso martini) are among the beverage choices.

Adriani opened the Westside location of the Local Pizzaiolo in January. He has two other locations planned for Sandy Springs and the Madison Yards development in Reynoldstown.
