Todd English Tavern shutters at the Battery
Todd English Tavern from celebrity chef Todd English closed nearly a year after it opened at Live! at the Battery Atlanta, Tomorrow’s News Today reports. The restaurant apparently closed prior to the Braves home opener in March. The space is now part of what seems to be extended seating for the sprawling, two-story sports bar Sports and Social. DaVinci’s Donuts Opening at Lenox Square Mall
Yet another doughnut shop is opening at Lenox Square Mall. DaVinci’s Donuts plans to open in a converted shipping container in the front parking lot of the mall, according to What Now Atlanta. The shop will be located across from the Westin hotel. DaVinci’s joins Las Vegas-based the Dapper Doughnut at the mall. Dapper’s kiosk is located between Five Guys Burgers and the Farmer’s Basket in the food court. DaVinci’s Donuts has locations in Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and Alpharetta. [WNA]

City Tap House replaces Gordon Biersch
Philadelphia-based City Tap House is moving forward with renovations on the shuttered Gordon Biersch space on Peachtree Street in Midtown, What Now Atlanta reports. The gastropub plans to open in July with over 60 beers on draft. In addition to Philadelphia, City Tap House has locations in Boston, Washington, D.C., and Nashville. [WNA]
