Chef Guy Wong’s Miso Ko sushi kiosk in Ponce City Market’s central food hall will open this summer. It will be located across from Bitlong Bar next to the chef’s ramen shop Ton Ton on the first floor of the food hall.
Miso Ko includes a to-go counter and a sushi bar that seats twelve people with high-back barstools and views of the sushi-making process.
Grab-and-go items will be available for purchase along with made-to-order sashimi, nigiri, makimono, and a variety of specialty rolls. The chef is planning freshwater eel, octopus, squid, and soft shell crab to be among the seafood offerings at Miso Ko. The menu will include sushi combinations, sweet tofu, and salads as well.
Wong spoke of opening a sushi stall at the market in June 2016 when he opened Ton Ton. The chef said the kiosk would be similar in size to Spiller Park Coffee.
He also owns Miso Izakaya on Edgewood Avenue and Vietnamese restaurant Le Fat in Westside. Ton Ton just acquired its liquor license and will soon serve beer, cocktails, and sake.
