Firepit Pizza Tavern at Larkin on Memorial in Grant Park is targeting a June opening. The brick oven pizzeria dropped their menu on Facebook earlier this week saying, “We are excited to share our menu and give everyone a preview of what is yet to come.”
Firepit is owned by chef Leslie Cohen; a past winner of Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen.
The menu features red and white sauce pizzas like sliced steak with roasted garlic, red peppers, caramelized onions, and blue cheese and the caprese with mozzarella and sliced tomatoes topped with fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette. Diners can also choose from a selection of cheeses, cured and cooked meats, and vegetables to build their own pizzas.
Firepit’s menu includes sandwiches such as the Grant Park grinder consisting of cured meats and cold cuts topped with provolone and vegetables and appetizers like wings. The pizzeria’s wings come in quantities of ten, 20, and 50 and five flavors: buffalo, garlic parmesan, sweet heat, lemon pepper, and unicorn. Firepit fries, then tosses the unicorn wings in Calabria oil and coats them with a dry rub.
Firepit Pizza Tavern joins Grant Park Market and its cafe Gather, all-day restaurant Full Commission, and chef Robert Phalen’s forthcoming Woodward and Park at Larkin along with Ramen Station and Kale Me Crazy. Taqueria del Sol confirmed they are no longer opening at the complex.
