A new cocktail bar called Parlor is opening this summer at 249 Peters Street in Castleberry Hill, What Now Atlanta reports. Parlor is owned by Alphonzo Cross of brand development company Quintessential.
The 800-square-foot “cocktail den” will serve pre-Prohibition era cocktails and small plates. Bartender Mike Jones (The Consulate) is assisting with the development of the beverage program and chef Q Matissé Myers (The Southern Gentleman) is developing Parlor’s food menu. Parlor plans to play “loungey” house, jazz, and blues music, too.
It seems Cross has a few other projects up his sleeve; including reopening Boxcar Grocers which he closed three years ago. Cross owned the market with his sister, Alison.
