A new cocktail bar called Parlor is opening this summer at 249 Peters Street in Castleberry Hill, What Now Atlanta reports. Parlor is owned by Alphonzo Cross of brand development company Quintessential.
The 800-square-foot “cocktail den” will serve pre-Prohibition era cocktails and small plates. Bartender Mike Jones (The Consulate) is assisting with the development of the beverage program and chef Q Matissé Myers (The Southern Gentleman) is developing Parlor’s food menu. Parlor plans to play “loungey” house, jazz, and blues music, too.
It seems Cross has a few other projects up his sleeve; including reopening Boxcar Grocers which he closed three years ago. Cross owned the market with his sister, Alison.
Quintessential’s first brand, Parlor, will be opening in May 2018. We have been working on this concept and brand for 3 years now and it’s very exciting to see our little cocktail den coming into focus. Check out @parloratlanta for content and details. And stay tuned as we bring you even more. #parloratlanta #parloratl
