Vintage grills, a Japanese kamado (which may have served as design inspiration for the Big Green Egg,) and a 13-foot-long “Space Shuttle BBQ Pit” are counted among the exhibit’s artifacts. Oral histories and historic photographs are also included. There will be a screening of the Southern Foodways Alliance film “Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ” on May 23, followed by a barbecue panel discussion. [Official]
