Marcel’s lunchtime burger pop-up is back
After a lengthy line out the door in March proved that mid-day burgers and boozy shakes draw a crowd, Ford Fry’s Westside steakhouse Marcel is bringing its late-night-only burger back for another lunchtime pop-up. The pop-up will be held on Friday, May 25 starting at 11:30 a.m. The menu includes the Marcel burger and cheeseburger, fries, and an assortment of milkshakes with or without booze added. [Official]

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken-Atlanta is hiring
After multiple delays due construction and renovations, the much-anticipated arrival of Nashville’s Hattie B’s Hot Chicken in Little Five Points is nearing. The restaurant posted a hiring ad on Craigslist this week seeking a “few more back of house and front of house positions.” A representative for Hattie B’s says they’re feeling confident about a mid-to late-June opening. The restaurant is known for fried chicken which comes in six levels of heat. [Craigslist]

Hawkers Asian Street Fare opens this fall on the Beltline
The Florida-based Asian street food stall-style restaurant plans to open at Studioplex along the Beltline in the Old Fourth Ward, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The full-service restaurant is based on “hawkers” or Asian street food stalls and will offer dishes like Korean twice fried wings, Sichuan wontons, and steamed baos. Hawkers’ menu also includes soups, salads, noodles, and rice dishes. A large, Beltline-facing patio is planned for the restaurant.[ATLBizChron/Paywall]
