Ford Fry’s giving out Tex-Mex breakfast
Here’s a reason to wake up early. Tomorrow morning, Krog Street Market’s Superica will host a pop-up offering free breakfast tacos and bloody Marias.
The event’s celebrating Atlanta’s 10th Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival and previewing Little Rey, the newest addition to Ford Fry’s restaurant empire. The Tex-Mex spot is slated to open in Piedmont Heights in 2019. So far, the menu is split between staples like breakfast tacos and wood-roasted chicken al carbon and dishes “encouraging a healthful lifestyle,” because something has to balance out those margaritas.
Starting at 8:30 a.m., Superica’s slinging out migas tacos (scrambled eggs with jalapeño, tomatoes, tortilla chips, cheese) with and sans-bacon. They’ll also serve tastings of bloody Marias.
Momonoki’s definitely opening next week
Jason Liang and John Chen’s Japanese counter service spot Momonoki will run a soft opening for the public from Sunday to Tuesday before officially opening on Wednesday, June 20. Chen says Momonoki all menu items are 25% off during the soft opening.
