NORTH ATLANTA: Prepare for booze-infused, liquid nitrogen ice cream and coffee treats when Cincinnati-based Buzzed Bull Creamery opens an outpost somewhere in north Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. However, when and where is still TBD. Buzzed Bull’s menu includes 32 flavors paired with (or without) a selection of alcohol. [AJC]
MIDTOWN/COLONY SQUARE: The Chick-fil-A in Colony Square closed last weekend, according to Tomorrow’s News Today. However, Chick-fil-A says it does plan to reopen the restaurant sometime next year. The Starbucks is expected to announce it will close (but reopen in 2019), too. Colony Square is undergoing a massive revamp which includes iPic, a luxury cinema and dining spot promising a dine-in theater with “ninja-like” service, farm-to-glass cocktails, and a James Beard award-wining chef, Sherry Yard. MIDTOWN: The Barrelhouse will close after seven years at 22 5th Street NW on Wednesday, June 27, What Now Atlanta reports. The closure, however, isn’t permanent. The restaurant said on Facebook, “While we will be closing our doors at our current location, we have the opportunity now to be part of a neighborhood that we are beyond thrilled about.” No other details on the location were given, only that Barrelhouse plans to reopen in its new spot this fall.
