A Maine Magazine Dubbed This Atlanta Lobster Roll the ‘World’s Best’

INMAN PARK: Ford Fry’s casual seafood restaurant BeetleCat has won an award for its lobster roll, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Maine’s Down East Magazine awarded executive chef Andrew Isabella’s sandwich top honors, dubbing it the “World’s Best Lobster Roll”. Isabella gets $1000 and a feature in the magazine. [ATLBizChron]

WESTSIDE: The Waffle House located along the 1000 block of Northside Drive near 14th Street was the scene of an early morning shooting Tuesday. According to a report by the AJC, the gunman, wearing an angry clown mask, walked into the restaurant around 6 a.m. and demanded the belongings of patrons and staff as well as the cash register. The gunman grabbed the register and stolen items and ran out the door to the parking lot. A customer, who may have been arguing with the gunman, was shot one time in the neck. He is in stable condition at Grady Memorial. The gunman is still on the run. [AJC]

UPPER WESTSIDE: There’s finally movement at the upcoming Westside Village development along Marietta Boulevard south of Moores Mill Road. According to Eater Atlanta sister site Curbed Atlanta, Westside Village will eventually include offices, a Primrose School daycare, a boutique workout facility called The Refinery, 19 townhomes, and, most importantly, restaurants. No word as to which restaurants might be eyeballing the complex. Henri’s Bakery recently opened across from Westside Village. This particular area, now being called Upper Westside, is seeing major redevelopment. [CurbedATL]
