An all-day restaurant called Pancake Social is opening at Ponce City Market this winter. Chef Anne Quatrano (Bacchanalia, Star Provisions, Floataway Cafe, W.H. Stiles Fish Camp) will open the 150-seat breakfast restaurant and coffeehouse with restaurateurs Dan Jacobson (formerly of Chick-fil-A) and Steven Chan (Tin Drum Asian Kitchen), and Revelator director of retail (co-founder of Octane) Tony Riffel. Quatrano will serve as Pancake Social’s executive chef.
The menu at Pancake Social will skew breakfast with a variety of pancakes, bowls, sandwiches, coffee, and fresh-pressed juices, likely using produce from Quatrano’s farm. Some pancakes on the menu are of the savory variety. The full-service restaurant includes a coffee counter for to-go orders and a large patio, too.
“Pancake Social is a nod to the tradition of people and communities gathering together over a pancake breakfast,” the team says of the name. “We hope to emphasize the ‘social’ part with great coffee and food offerings at a place to meet 7 days per week.”
And, the restaurant is planning to stock the bar with booze. Good news for Sunday morning brunchers in Atlanta, as the new Brunch Bill will likely pass the vote in November.
Pancake Social is located next to Mountain High Outfitters near the North Avenue entrance of the market.
