PONCE CITY MARKET: Local popsicle purveyor King of Pops is opening a beach bar called O4W Beach Bar in the courtyard of the market on Thursday, July 19, What Now Atlanta reports. It’s housed inside a shipping container next to the entrance to the rooftop. The bar plans to sell boozy slushies like a blackberry dark and stormy; a cocktail which contains rum and ginger beer. Thursday’s grand opening celebration begins at 12 p.m. and features snacks and drinks such as a piña colada slushie served in a cored, whole pineapple. Open throughout the summer Sunday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.[WNA]
TECH SQUARE/MIDTOWN: The Collective at Coda announced the first restaurants for the mini food hall located at 771 Spring Street, the AJC is reporting. The first comes from chef Hector Santiago (El Super Pan) who will open El Burro Pollo Kitchen serving “border town-style” burritos, tacos, and ceviches. Ken Yu and Seven Chan (Poke Burri, Lifting Noodles Ramen both at We Suki Suki) plan to open their second Poke Burri at the hall. And, fast-casual grain bowl, soup, and smoothie restaurant Wild Leaf from chef Randy Lewis and David Morse is also set to open at Coda. The mini food hall should debut in Midtown next spring. [AJC]
