ATLANTA: Eater.com reports Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A is, for some reason, getting in on the home meal kit game. Think Blue Apron or Hello Fresh only picked up at the drive-thru. The chicken-centric fast food chain is apparently testing a line of meal kits at locations throughout metro Atlanta starting August 27. Recipes in the kits are not offered on the regular Chick-fil-A menu, like crispy dijon chicken and chicken enchiladas. Kits come complete with pre-measured ingredients and can be picked up at the drive-thru, inside, or ordered through the Chick-fil-A One app. This is one way to redefine “fast food”. [EATER]
AVONDALE ESTATES: The owner of all-day Greek restaurant Kafenio in College Park (and ParkGrounds in Reynoldstown) is opening a second location in Avondale Estates at the Willis apartment complex on East College Avenue, Tomorrow’s News Today reports. The 2100-square-foot restaurant will serve diners Mediterranean-style dishes breakfast through dinner. The restaurant includes a bar with wine and beer and a large patio. Kafenio-Avondale should open in early 2019. [ToNT]
