Plus, say it isn’t so. Chick-fil-A is retiring its coveted Cow Calendar next year

WEST END: Monday Night Brewing’s Garage at the Lee + White complex just off of the Westside BeltLine trail is now offering waffles to pair with its beers on the weekends, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Betty’s Waffle Emporium food truck will be parked outside Friday through Sunday serving waffles like chicken and waffles, seasonal fruits, and Honeysuckle gelato. Monday Night plans to add more days if all goes well. Maybe weekends aren’t so overrated after all. [ATLBizChron]

ATLANTA: Chick-fil-A is having quite a July. On Monday, the fast food chicken chain announced it’s testing their new take-home meal kits on Atlantans beginning August 27. It seems they had to do something to mend the broken hearts of those who learned last week the company would retire their coveted Cow Calendar in 2019. According to Raleigh’s News & Observer, Chick-fil-A broke the news to customers via email. The calendar, full of free food deals and monthly offers, has been a hot commodity since debuting 20 years ago; especially with customers who clamor for a fresh copy to hand out as holiday gifts. Its [sad] replacement? The Chick-fil-A One app. The app is loaded with similar food rewards. Hoping to smooth things over further during the break-up, the Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A assured customers they’re “stepping up our gift card game” this year for the holiday rush. [News & Observer]
