OLD FOURTH WARD: Get ready for New Zealand reindeer in the Old Fourth Ward. The team behind Bantam Pub in O4W plans to open Big Game at Anthem on Ashley in early fall and serve “sustainable herd” meat, What Now Atlanta reports. The 4200-square-foot “sportsman club” faces Old Fourth Ward Park at 720 Ralph McGill Boulevard. The hunting and fishing lodge-style restaurant will include bison, the previously mentioned reindeer, elk, and “trophy fish” on its menu. [WNA]
BROOKHAVEN: Alpharetta-based Secreto Southern Kitchen opens Wednesday, July 11 at 3575 Durden Drive in Brookleigh Marketplace. The menu focuses on Southern staples like crab bisque with lump crab, fried chicken, and a grilled apple brined pork chop. ALPHARETTA: Lapeer Seafood Market from the team behind South Main Kitchen and Butcher & Brew will open in Alpharetta City Center in November, Atlanta Magazine reports. The menu will change daily and includes in-season, line-caught fish from around the country. Lapeer will accommodate between 125-140 people. Owner Louis Soon says he’s also planning to open a taco stand called Tocayo and a second Butcher & Brew, which should open in Forsyth County’s Halycon next March. [ATLMag]
