RIVERSIDE: Erika Council is back on Saturday, August 18 for another installment of her popular biscuit breakfasts at B’s Cracklin’ Barbecue in Riverside. Council’s last breakfast on August 4 was so popular, in fact, by 9:30 a.m. there was already an hour-long wait. In an Instagram post, Council thanked her followers for their continued support of the pop-up she began over a year ago with B’s owner and pitmaster Bryan Furman. Fried chicken biscuits, country ham and cheese biscuits, biscuits and gravy, and beignets are among the regular menu items offered at #bombassbiscuits. Rumor has it, Council’s shrimp and Anson Mill grits will make an appearance at the upcoming breakfast. Breakfast is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 2061 Main Street NW, Atlanta. [INSTAGRAM]
DOWNTOWN: A new restaurant and event space is headed to the historic Healey Building located in downtown’s Fairlie-Poplar district. The Pantry and Impress Events will open at 57 Forsyth Street in the former Loaf & Kettle space later this year, What Now Atlanta reports. The Pantry includes a chefs counter and kitchen which open onto the atrium with additional seating for 40 people. The restaurant will serve healthy bites for breakfast and lunch, including sandwiches, fresh-made salads, a variety of toasts, and breakfast sandwiches. During dinner, prime rib and martinis are likely menu offerings with charcuterie, cheese, and wine at the chefs counter. [WNA]
MIDTOWN: Bon Ton on Myrtle Street is prepping itself for the eventual passage (hopefully) of the Sunday brunch bill—aka the “mimosa mandate”— in November and adding brunch to its line-up. The lavender-hued restaurant, located across from Mary Mac’s Tea Room, is now offering Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The #funkmeup brunch includes a DJ, morning cocktails like their frozen Vietnamese Irish coffee, and menu items such as a fried fish sandwich.
