Jamaican restaurant Nyamminz + Jamminz tucked inside the Four Corners Free Market on Euclid Avenue in Little Five Points closed Sunday after three years in business. The bare bones restaurant located between Elmyr and El Bandido had a nearly five star rating on Yelp—lauded by its customers for having some of the “best” jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, and oxtails in Atlanta.
A reader received the following email from Nyamminz + Jamminz over the weekend:
“Dear Customers’
We will be permanently closing our doors on August 12th, 2018 at 6pm.
We want to thank all of our customers for being so loyal and dedicated over the past 3 years of us opening our doors. It came with a lot of wavering thoughts, but we finally made the decision to close Nyamminz + Jamminz in little 5 points. Please visit our website at nyamminzandjamminzja.com. for updates. Also follow us on all social media platforms @Nyamminzandjamminz. If you have any Catering requests please email us at Nyamminzandjamminz@yahoo.com.
Thanks again for your continued support and we hope to see you before we close!”
In addition to the counter-serve restaurant inside the market, Nyamminz + Jamminz was also apparently a popular place to order food from in the surrounding neighborhoods through delivery services like Postmates, GrubHub, and Zifty.
Eater Atlanta has reached out to Nyamminz + Jamminz for further details on the closure and catering services.
