Pin & Proper located at Grant Park’s Beacon complex opens Tuesday, according to the pinfall game bar’s Facebook page, with a grand opening set for Friday, August 24. Pinfall is a hybrid game which combines football and bowling with cornhole. The new Grant Park bar is owned by Lauren and Chaise Hughes.
Eater Atlanta got a peek at the menu for Pin & Proper. It sticks mainly to snacks and shared plates like a jumbo pretzel with beer cheese, buffalo wings, fried calamari, and deviled eggs. However, there’s a selection of six flatbread pizzas ranging from the classic margherita to a vegetable laden bread smeared with hummus and topped with grilled zucchini, eggplant, red peppers, mushrooms, and mozzarella. Pin & Proper also offers a handful of salads as well as a burger and a trio of sliders on the menu.
For those curious about how pinfall is played, a short video on Pin & Proper’s Facebook page shows a player tossing a football at ten bowling pins during this past weekend’s preview event. Just how it differs from a similar game known as fowling (foh-ling) remains to be seen.
