The newly-opened restaurant Mouth of the South in Cabbagetown is throwing what is shaping up to be an epic brunch this Sunday, September 2. The restaurant is opening at 10 a.m. for what they’re calling a “brunch takeover” featuring the kitchen crew from neighboring grocery and grill Little’s Food Store, the inimitable baker Sarah Dodge, and East Atlanta’s Emerald City Bagels.

This might just be the mother of all Atlanta brunch collaborations.

The menu for Sunday’s kitchen takeover includes pastries from Dodge, bagels with smoked salmon and dill cream cheese or avocado from Emerald City, and a Southern breakfast plate, shrimp and grits, and biscuits and pork sausage gravy from Little’s.

Mouth of the South is serving as host and bartender for the brunch with a full range of breakfast cocktails.

Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
