The Brothers Wahlberg Are Opening a Wahlburgers in Downtown Atlanta

Plus, a new cafe and bakery is opening near Georgia State, Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar is headed to Dunwoody, and Gusto! opening in North Decatur

DOWNTOWN: Fans of 1980s boy band New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) and Marky Mark, the pants-dropping leader of the Funky Bunch-turned-actor, will be happy to read the brothers Wahlberg are opening a second Wahlburgers in Downtown Atlanta, What Now Atlanta reports. Wahlburgers-Downtown will be located at 218 Peachtree Street NW around the corner from the “Gone With the Wind”-themed restaurant Pitty Pat’s Porch. The Boston-based burger franchise is owned by Paul (chef), Mark, and Donnie of NKOTB fame. The brothers also star together in a reality show of the same name on A&E. This is the second Georgia location of Wahlburgers. The first is located at Battery Atlanta. [WNA]

DUNWOOODY: In more burger expansion news, Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar is opening a second Atlanta location at 4555 Ashford Dunwoody Road. The first location opened at Buckhead’s Lenox Square in 2014. It’s slated to open sometime in September. [OFFICIAL]

NORTH DECATUR: Fast-casual bowl and wraps restaurant Gusto! is opening at the corner of Church Street and North Decatur Road in the North Decatur Square center in September. The restaurant already has locations in Virginia-Highland on Ponce de Leon and Peachtree Road in Buckhead. A third location is opening at the corner of Northside Drive and 17th Street later this fall. [OFFICIAL]

DOWNTOWN: A new bakery, cafe, and coffee shop called Rozina Bake House & Coffee is opening at 33 Hurt Plaza SE in Downtown Atlanta, according to the AJC. Chef-owner Shay Lavi first spoke of his new bakery-cafe, which is inspired by and named for his grandmother, in a feature story by Atlanta Magazine’s Jennifer Zyman. Rozina will offer Arabic, Turkish, Greek, and Italian pastries, baguette sandwiches, and salads along with juice and coffee. Lavi says the cafe should open later this fall. [AJC/ATLMag]
