Adalina could open as soon as next week on Northside Parkway, a representative for the Italian restaurant confirms. They’ve been teasing followers on Instagram and Facebook with the news. The restaurant, owned by Dennis Lange (Five Seasons Brewing Co.), is located at the Post Riverside apartment complex in the former River Room space. Adalina’s menu focuses on dishes from northern Italy. Josh Hopkins (formerly of Empire State South) serves as executive chef.
In an interview with What Now Atlanta two years ago, Lange explained that Adalina wouldn’t be a chef-driven restaurant but rather customer-driven saying, “You can run a restaurant without cooks but you can’t run a restaurant without customers.” It’s unclear how that would actually work, but Lange and Hopkins clearly plan to keep customer preferences in mind.
Local firm Flags of Origin is handling the design. Lange says after spending time in Italy, he’s recreating the aesthetic of melding old and new design elements found in many of the ancient buildings throughout the country at Adalina.
Flags of Origin posted a few photos of their handiwork at the restaurant on Instagram.
