Red Brick Brewing returns to its original name

Westside’s Red Brick Brewing, Atlanta’s oldest craft brewery, is now going by its original name: Atlanta Brewing Company. Red Brick began teasing followers on Instagram in July that “something is coming” with the date August 31, telling people to “be there.” As promised, all was revealed on August 31 during an event at the brewery with the name change announcement back to Red Brick’s roots as Atlanta Brewing Company and the unveiling of a fresh (re)branding for its 25th anniversary. New coffee stall at Irwin Street Market

Academy Coffee is open at Irwin Street Market next to Jake’s Ice Cream brewing East Pole Coffee beans. In addition to coffee, the stall is also experimenting with a few creative twists on cold brew drinks with ingredients like activated charcoal. Academy Coffee is owned by Connan Moody. [EATL]

New coffee shop at Emory University’s Carlos Museum

It seems Ebrik Coffee Room is opening a shop inside Emory University’s Carlos Museum. Ebrik posted a photo to Instagram Tuesday of the outside of the museum and a banner bearing their name saying, “Official opening coming real soon.” Ebrik has locations in Decatur and downtown Atlanta. [INSTAGRAM]
