Upcoming Howell Mill Taco Restaurant Changes Its Name and Its Opening

The new taco and Mexican street food restaurant slated to open along Howell Mill Road in the Berkeley Park neighborhood has changed its name from Street Taco to Tuza. The Westside restaurant just south of I-75 now plans to open in early October.

Tuza will feature seating for up to 50 people inside, a covered side patio, and an outside area for lounging and dog-friendly dining on the grass lot next door. Owner Jason Sherman says Tuza’s menu consists of a variety of tacos and Mexican street fare during lunch and dinner. A full bar, breakfast, and brunch are eventually planned.

Berkeley Park is sandwiched between Northside Drive and Howell Mill Road. This stretch of Howell Mill from Chattahoochee Avenue to Huff Road is a restaurant dead zone filled with body shops and other car-related retail. Flip Burger, Urban Tree Cidery, and Monday Night Brewing on Trabert Avenue are also located in the neighborhood.
