Doughnut Dollies in Marietta reopens following truck incident

The doughnut shop reopened over the weekend following repairs to its production kitchen after a pick-up truck hit the building in July. Doughnut Dollies provided details on the situation via Instagram. The post shows a white pick-up truck wedged underneath a deck belonging to neighboring sandwich shop Canvas Cafe. It’s unclear how the pick-up truck managed to run into the building. A police report indicates the driver fled the scene. With repairs behind them, the shop is back in business. Bar seating is back at Staplehouse

Staplehouse recently brought back the tasting menu after going a la carte for nearly two years. The restaurant also reconfigured the dining room to allow more food prep space for the tasting menu and did away with bar seating. The tasting menu was previously available at the small bar for walk-ins and reservations. The barstools have returned, according to Staplehouse’s Instagram, as has the ability to partake in the tasting menu at the bar. [INSTAGRAM]

Atlas at the St. Regis is expanding its patio

Atlas at the St. Regis hotel in Buckhead is transforming its patio into a 3000-plus-square-foot terrace with room to seat up to 100 people and 24 more at its own bar. Renderings show a covered terrace featuring a vaulted glass ceiling and sliding doors which open to the main dining room, along with trees and shrubbery to create a garden setting. The renovation should be completed in time for patio season next spring. [OFFICIAL]

Marietta’s newest brewery opens today

Glover Park Brewery is opening Thursday, September 6 close to Marietta Square, the AJC reports. The brewery is located at 65 Atlanta Street, two blocks south of the square (aka Glover Park). The brewery is housed in a building dating to the 1930s and includes a tasting room, patio with a fireplace, a kitchen, and beer garden. Thursday’s opening menu includes lobster rolls from a food truck and Glover Park’s IPAs, lager, Belgium wit, and saison in the beer garden. [AJC]
