Vintage Frozen Custard is opening in Roswell on Canton Street this month, the AJC reports. The shop was previously located on Howell Mill Road next to La Fonda. Greater Good Barbecue now occupies the space. Vintage offers frozen custards in flavors like salted caramel, mocha crunch, and apple brown betty as well as liege Belgium waffles topped with custard. Krispy Kreme offering chocolate glazed doughnuts today
Starting today, the South’s favorite doughnut maker is offering chocolate glazed doughnuts on the first Friday of every month at select stores. Think Krispy Kreme’s classic glazed doughnut dipped in milk chocolate. According to their website, it seems most, if not all, of the Atlanta shops offer the chocolate doughnuts on their menus. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse opening in Dunwoody
The steakhouse chain is opening its latest 11,000-square-foot restaurant for dinner on September 19 at Perimeter Center. Lunch begins September 20. The multi-level Double Eagle is located at 236 Perimeter Center Parkway NE and features a mainly surf and turf menu of dry-aged steaks and seafood accompanied by family-style sides. The steakhouse isn’t lacking in wine. There’s a “floating” wine cellar with over 2500 bottles and an additional 2200 bottles found along the entry’s “wine tunnel”. [Official]

Construction and permitting are now complete on the patio at Brazilian coffee and caipirinha bar Buteco in Grant Park’s Beacon complex. The covered patio includes a TV (regularly tuned in to soccer) and steps leading to Buteco’s second, open air patio above the restaurant. [Facebook]
