Doraville
Qing Shu Malatang: This new restaurant in the Super H Mart plaza serves a variety of individual hot pots and snacks like Chinese pumpkin cakes. Choose rice noodle hot pots such as spicy lamb, beef kimchi, or tomato. Each bowl of broth and noodles comes with all the accoutrements needed to assemble the hot pot. Beginners will find instructions on how to assemble and cook the meats inside the menu. Shopping complex neighbors include popular restaurants like Snackboxe Bistro, Shoya Izakaya, and Yebisuya Ramen.
Chamblee
Chom Chom Vietnamese Kitchen: Located in the former China Delight space on Chamblee Tucker Road, this Vietnamese restaurant serves a variety of spring and summer rolls, snacks like fried wontons, vermicelli and rice dishes, and a small selection of banh mi on its menu. Be sure to check out the chef’s specials, including the shaking beef, Hanoi buns, and tamarind prawns.
Brookhaven:
Roc South Cuisine and Cocktails: It’s all about Southern comfort food at this new Buford Highway restaurant near the infamous Pink Pony. Think fried chicken and collards over sweet potatoes, casseroles of baked mac and cheese, gumbo, and big biscuits drizzled with honey.
Lindridge-Martin Manor
Jazzo Taco: Mante, Mexico native, Jesus Alejandro Lopez Jazzo, just opened his “dream” restaurant on Cheshire Bridge Road near the Original Pancake House. The restaurant’s menu, inspired by his family’s recipes, serves a variety of crispy corn tacos like al pastor, Baja fish, and chorizo, tamale bowls, quesadillas, and what Jazzo claims is the “best cheese dip in the city.” Eater reached out to confirm whether Jazzo Taco offers seating or is takeout and delivery only.
East Atlanta Village
Grass VBQ Joint: Located inside We Suki Suki’s Global Grub Collective food market, this new vegan barbecue stall serves up smoked jerk wingz, veef brisket, a smoked pulled jackfruit sandwich, and hot “chicken” on its menu.
