Bold Monk Brewing, the brewpub from the owners of Max Lager’s Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery, White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails, and Richards’ Southern Fried, is now open at the Third and Urban complex on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard.
Located on the edge of the Underwood Hills neighborhood, Bold Monk includes two multi-tap bars, a dining room, a kitchen equipped with a wood-fired grill and a pizza oven, and eventually a beer garden out back. Expect to find Neapolitan-style pizzas, a burger, entrees such as steak or duck frites, and salads and grain bowls on the menu.
The second floor above the main bar and dining room features that second set of taps at its bar, along with a large library-esque lounge complete with coffee service, a big screen TV, and several outlets for those who wish to bring their computers and work while sipping Belgian-style beers, IPAs, or imperial stouts. In addition to beer, the bars also serve wine and cocktails.
According to the website, Bold Monk offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and brunch on weekends. The brewpub’s menu is currently not available online.
Eater Atlanta reached out to Bold Monk for more details and a food and drink menu.

Bold Monk joins a number of other breweries in an area some have dubbed the “Westside Beer District.” Scofflaw Brewing Co., Atlanta Brewing Co., Second Self Beer Co, Steady Hand Beer Co., and Monday Night Brewing are among the breweries already operating in the Westside neighborhoods of Underwood Hills, Blandtown, and Berkeley Park.
Both Round Trip Brewing along Seaboard Industrial Boulevard near Second Self and Fire Maker Brewing on Chattahoochee Avenue plan to open early next year in Underwood Hills. A second location of Scofflaw also opens next year at the Andrew Zimmern-backed Chattahoochee Food Works, a half mile from Fire Maker on Chattahoochee Avenue.
Open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
