Little Alley Steak’s Buckhead location reopens in February at One Alliance Center on Lenox Road after a November hood fire nearly destroyed the restaurant’s kitchen, a representative speaking on behalf of Little Alley says.
While the fire was contained to the kitchen and did not damage the dining room, it did require owners Hicham Azhari and Fikret Kovac to shell out $1.5 million for repairs and renovations. Little Alley’s 182 Buckhead employees apparently remain on the payroll and attend weekly meetings and trainings as repairs continue in the kitchen.
This is the second location of Azhari and Kovac’s popular Roswell steakhouse on Canton Street. Little Alley-Buckhead opened last spring following the opening of chef Ian Winslade’s Mission and Market, located nearby at Three Alliance Center. The Buckhead restaurant is triple the size of Roswell, seating 250 people between two dining rooms, a bar, and the patio with its own bar.
The steakhouse serves wet and dry-aged steaks and prime cuts of beef as well as oysters and other chilled seafood. Both the Buckhead and Roswell restaurants include deep whiskey lists.
