Sandy Springs

Cafe I Am: Located on Mountain Creek Road, this “healthful” cafe owned by South African natives Vanda Teixeira and Miguel Teixeira blends Portuguese and South African flavors and foods on the menu during breakfast and lunch. The menu includes fresh breads, soups, salad, and paninis as well as an espresso bar.

Buckhead

The Garden Room: This newly opened small plates restaurant and bar part of Atlas in Buckhead serves dinner and drinks Wednesday through Saturday on West Paces Ferry Road within a garden setting. The menu includes dishes like a yellowtail and citrus salad, a lobster roll, a wagyu coulotte, and desserts such as Madeleines and daily sorbet paired with wine and cocktails. Note: be sure to check the dress code before heading here.

Silom Thai and Sushi: The owners of Bangkok Station have opened a Thai restaurant on Lenox Road in the former Katana Sushi space. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu includes “over 80 Thai street foods and sushi” dishes like fried tofu, takoyaki, green curry, pad thai and Drunken Man noodles as well as sushi.

Midtown

E Ramen: The ramen shop from the owners of Eight Sushi Lounge is now open on West Peachtree in Midtown. The restaurant specializes in a variety of ramen, including lobster and vegetarian versions, as well as sushi rolls, rice bowls, and Japanese snacks.

Old Fourth Ward

Dipped n Butter: Newly opened in the former Taco Cantina space along Boulevard, this restaurant specializes in seafood with a “Southern twist.” Think lobster tail mac and cheese with Cajun butter, shrimp and crab wontons, fried whiting and grits, and seafood fried rice.

Chef’d Up: Former Migos private chef Bryant “Chef Baul” Williams opened his first restaurant in the former Barrelhouse space along Highland Avenue, across from Highland Bakery. The “soul food kitchen and bar” reflect Williams’s world travels as well as his vegetarian lifestyle. Dishes range from pork chop lollipops, ribeye steak, and stuffed lobster tail to salads with CBD-infused dressings and an Impossible burger.

Vine City

Switz Sports Bar: Located just west of Mercedes-Benz Stadium on M.L.K. Drive, this sports bar and lounge includes plenty of games to watch on the TVs, live music, and pub fare such as a chargrilled salmon burger, wings, chicken and waffles, and crispy fried shrimp.

Cumberland

Highland Bakery: An eleventh location of Highland Bakery, owned by Stacey Eames, just opened at Modera Vinings on Cumberland Boulevard in Cobb County. The breakfast and lunch menu at the cafe includes popular dishes such as sweet potato pancakes, fried chicken eggs benedict, and the open-faced breakfast BLT on sourdough.

Smyrna

The Pirate’s Boil: Yet another seafood boil restaurant is now open in metro Atlanta — this time on Cobb Parkway in Smyrna. The restaurant and sports bar specializes in crawfish and crab boils, but also offers baskets of fried seafood like oysters and catfish as well as po’boys, a few raw bar selections, and other seafood by-the-pound platters.
