Houston’s Turkey Leg Hut is expanding to Atlanta this spring and bringing with it the restaurant’s “world famous” and celebrity-endorsed stuffed turkey legs. It’s unclear, however, where owners Lynn Price and Nakia Price plan to open Turkey Hut Leg-Atlanta.

The restaurant’s turkey legs are smoked until the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender, then stuffed with dirty rice and topped with everything from shrimp and Alfredo sauce to red onions, mushrooms, and parmesan cheese.

The Prices began selling their stuffed turkey legs at the Houston Rodeo years ago, gaining a cult following. That following eventually turned into a permanent — and extremely successful — restaurant on Almeda Road in the city’s historic Third Ward, southeast of downtown. Since opening, Turkey Leg Hut has become a magnet for celebrities like Snoop Dogg and actor Kevin Hart, and often sees lines wrapping around the block.

Eater Atlanta is working to gather more details and will update this story. In the meantime, here’s what to expect when Turkey Leg Hut opens in the A.
