Chef Michael Patrick and Pietro Gianni, owners of Buckhead’s Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante, have named their forthcoming Westside Provisions District (WSPD) restaurant Forza Storico. Forza Storico — slang for “let’s do this” — will occupy the former Little Bacch space and serve dishes reminiscent of those found in and around Rome, Italy. It’s now expected to open this summer.
Forza Storico, located across the courtyard from Ford Fry’s JCT. Kitchen & Bar on the ground level of the Howell Mill Road complex, includes a full-service restaurant and bar with a patio and a much larger beer and wine selection than its Buckhead sibling. However, unlike Storico Fresco, the restaurant doesn’t include a market.
It joins two other new restaurants set to open this year at WSPD: Aziza, an Israeli restaurant from Tal Baum of Ponce City Market’s Bellina Alimentari and Redbird from former Watershed chef Zeb Stevenson.
Patrick and Gianni have gained a loyal following at Storico Fresco since opening in 2016. Their part-restaurant, part-market, part-pasta company churns out freshly-made pastas for purchase in its market and simple dishes in its dining room like cacio e pepe and lasagna alla bolognese daily.
