Southern Restaurant Area 4 Opens for Seafood Buckets Near Greenbriar Mall

New Southern and seafood restaurant opens near Greenbriar Mall

Area 4 Restaurant, owned by Jasmine Smiley, opens Friday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. for Southern fare and seafood at 2885 Greenbriar Parkway near Greenbriar Mall, according to a press release. The menu focuses primarily on seafood, including a “seafood bucket” and shrimp and grits, as well as dishes like chicken and waffles. Area 4 plans to be open breakfast through dinner, and for brunch on weekends with an emphasis on a “mature audience” during the midday weekend meal. [Official]

Atlanta-based Pho King expands to Decatur

Vietnamese restaurant Pho King opens at the Place on Ponce complex on West Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur, Tomorrow’s News Today reports. It replaces Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe and should open sometime this spring. Pho King also has a location in midtown and in Buckhead. [TONT]

26 Thai Kitchen is opening a second location in midtown

26 Thai Kitchen plans to open in the former MuLan restaurant space on Juniper Street in midtown by June, according to What Now Atlanta. This is the second location for the restaurant. Its original location, near the Lindbergh MARTA station, serves noodles, curries, and other Thai dishes, including its popular dumplings. [WNA]

Grecian Gyro to open in Berkeley Park

A seventh location of local Atlanta Greek restaurant Grecian Gyro replaces shuttered Blue Coast Burrito at the Berkeley Heights complex on Northside Drive, Tomorrow’s New Today reports. The Greek restaurant, which originated in Hapeville in 1982, serves gyros, salads, and other platters on its menu. Other locations include Forest Park, Johns Creek, Dunwoody, Tucker, and Snellville.
