Chef Anne Quatrano’s latest restaurant Pancake Social opened today with limited hours at Ponce City Market (PCM).
The restaurant’s grand opening takes place Monday, March 25. Until then, Pancake Social is open every day this week through Sunday, March 24, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pancake Social then opens for breakfast daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning next Monday. Dinner is eventually planned in a few weeks for Thursday through Saturday until 9 p.m.
The 120-seat restaurant and coffeehouse with its North Avenue-facing patio serves all-day breakfast and brunch, including seven types of sweet and savory pancakes like a pecan praline stack and sourdough waffles.
In addition to flapjacks and blintzes, Pancake Social executive chef Evelyn Ling offers porridges and grain bowls, burgers (including an Impossible,) and a selection of sandwiches, such as a crispy chicken and the classic bacon, egg, and cheese, on the menu.
Ling worked at The Greenbrier in West Virginia before moving to Atlanta to work with Quatrano as a sous chef at Bacchanalia.
Pancake Social includes a large coffee bar located near the entrance to the restaurant and a dining room just beyond it with booths and large tables for groups. Beer, wine and, of course, mimosas and other brunch cocktails are offered at the bar alongside coffee, fresh juices, and a daily smoothie.

Quatrano’s seafood shack W.H. Stiles Fish Camp was one of the first restaurants to open inside PCM’s food hall during its inaugural year in 2015. The James Beard award-winning chef, who also owns Star Provisions and Floataway Cafe, partnered with restaurateurs Dan Jacobson (formerly of Chick-fil-A) and Steven Chan (Tin Drum Asian Kitchen), as well as Revelator coffee director of retail (co-founder of Octane) Tony Riffel.
A second location of Pancake Social opens at Pinewood Forest, a planned community 28 miles south of Atlanta in Fayetteville, later this year.
