Chinese restaurant Shanghai Street Food and Bar opening in Roswell

A “Chinese-inspired” street food restaurant and bar, owned by Aaron Smith, plans to open in the former Krespos Seafood House on Magnolia Street in downtown Roswell by June, according to the Shumacher Group. Robbie Pacheco (356 at the Porsche Experience Center) leads the kitchen at Shanghai Street Food and Bar, which he describes as “modern Chinese street food” without the “pretentious vibe” of fine dining. “I want to bring late night Chinatown to Downtown Roswell,” Pacheco says.” [TSG]

Manny’s newest Grant Park neighbor is a Filipino restaurant called Estrellita

Filipino restaurant Estrellita hopes to move into the small, Woodward Avenue retail complex that houses Manny’s pub and Jimmy John’s in Grant Park later this year, What Now Atlanta reports. It’s owned by Hope Webb and Walter Cortado. According to the story, Estrellita plans to serve fare and family recipes from Pampanga, a province northwest of Manilla in the Philippines. The partners are currently in the permitting phase with city of Atlanta. [WNA]
