The Local Pizzaiolo (TLP) in the Toco Hill shopping complex is no longer for sale and not closing, according to the restaurant’s general manager, Alessio Lacco. It seems owner and pizza master Giulio Adriani decided not to sell the remaining Atlanta TLP location. Instead, he’s considering transforming the pizzeria into a “full service” Italian restaurant.
Lacco, who is currently running the business for Adriani while he’s out-of-state growing TLP’s brand in D.C. and New York City, tells Eater Atlanta the possible restaurant rebrand likely won’t happen for another six months. For now, TLP remains a Neapolitan pizzeria.
Adriani closed the Westside TLP location on Marietta Street in February and scrapped plans to open additional pizzerias at Madison Yards in Reynoldstown and in Sandy Springs. TLP-Toco Hills was also up for sale at the time and did plan to close once the sale was complete. Those plans have obviously changed.
A second location of popular Malaysian restaurant Food Terminal on Buford Highway replaces Adriani’s Westside pizzeria later this summer.
