A second location of the College Park Greek restaurant and coffee shop Kafenio opens Wednesday, May 22 at the Willis apartment complex in Avondale Estates, the AJC first reported.

According to the Kafenio’s Facebook page, the all-day Greek cafe plans to only be open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Memorial Day. Dinner service begins on Tuesday, May 28.

The 2,100-square-foot restaurant, owned by Johnny Gianoulidis, serves Mediterranean and Greek-style dishes like spanakopita — phyllo triangles filled with spinach and feta, gyros, falafel, and a lamb burger topped with feta spread and tzatziki. Breakfast offers omelettes such as the three-egg Greek stuffed with gyro meat, feta cheese, and tomatoes. Kafenio includes a selection of coffee drinks, a bar offering wine and beer, and a large patio.

Gianoulidis also owns Reynoldstown coffee shop Park Grounds on Flat Shoals Avenue.

Soft opening May 22 thru Memorial day for breakfast/lunch service. Dinner service starts May 28! #softopening...
