Acapulco Mexican Taqueria closes in Riverside
The hole-in-the-wall Riverside taqueria at the fork between Bolton and Hollywood Roads is closed, according to a sign outside the restaurant and on Yelp. The congenial family-owned restaurant served tacos, tortas, and menudo on weekends from the counter inside. A new restaurant called One Love Cafe replaces it some time this year.
Korean barbecue restaurant to open in midtown
A Korean barbecue restaurant called Park 27 Korean BBQ opens at the Publix-anchored Plaza Midtown on West Peachtree Street later this year, What Now Atlanta reports. It looks like chef Remi Granger has left the Brasserie at Bazati
It seems chef Remi Granger, formerly of Bread & Butterfly, is no longer at the Brasserie on the Beltline. Granger, who came on board as the French restaurant’s first chef in August 2018, notes on his website, “After some time as the Executive Chef at Bread & Butterfly and The Brasserie, I am now looking forward to bringing my classical French training and admiration for local, farm-fresh ingredients, to some local pop-ups and in home dinners, while looking for a new Atlanta table, for which to serve my food.” Eater Atlanta reached out to Granger for more details.
